Build a Framework That Shows a Real Relationship in the Research

A two-axis chart can make research easier to discuss, but its neatness can conceal assumptions. Choose the relationship before deciding how attractive the diagram should look.

IDEO.org describes frameworks as visual ways to organise a system and clarify relationships. IDEO.org Design Kit — Create Frameworks.

Define each dimension

For a character project, explain what a dimension means and which observations support it. Avoid combining unrelated ideas under a label such as premium or emotional simply because it makes convenient quadrants.
