A lightweight product can still occupy substantial transport space. Bring the packing arrangement into the design discussion before assuming weight alone describes the shipment.
DHL explains dimensional weight as a measure derived from package dimensions, distinct from actual weight; applicable service rules determine its use. How to Calculate International Express Shipping Costs.
Work with a measured proposal
Record the outer package dimensions and packed mass for the actual arrangement. Do not estimate shipping effects from a product image. Keep any compression or packing proposal separate until its effect on the product has been reviewed.

Use current service information
Ask the logistics provider which calculation and conditions apply to the proposed route. Avoid publishing a universal divisor or rate from an unrelated service. A change in box shape may need another comparison, not a copied price.
The useful design decision balances product presentation, protection and the real transport context. A smaller-looking box is not automatically the best result if it creates another unresolved product or handling problem.
