Object Detection Can Locate a Detail Without Measuring Its Quality

A product photograph may contain a body, ears and several accessories. An object detector can identify where a trained category appears, but that is only the beginning of an inspection question.

Ultralytics describes detection outputs as bounding boxes, category labels and confidence scores. Ultralytics — detect.

Define what the box means

For a plush inspection, a box around an accessory could support a presence check. It does not establish attachment strength or confirm the exact contour. Those requirements need other evidence.

Inspect errors by situation

Review missed details, incorrect labels and boxes around background objects separately. Include occluded and unusual views in evaluation. The useful decision is whether localisation helps the real review task, not whether the demonstration draws attractive boxes.
