An orange-toned range can still contain very different personalities. Compare a muscle mandarin, a winking orange and a shirt-wearing orange by expression and pose before deciding they belong in one character family.
Pick a consistent tone
Describe the intended mood in ordinary words: playful, bold or relaxed. Then point to the visible detail that supports that reading. Do not turn a personal interpretation into a product claim; two buyers may read the same expression differently.

Make a small character board
Use one full-product image per candidate and add a short caption explaining its proposed role. If every caption needs a long explanation, reduce the number of competing ideas. A collection is easier to communicate when its organising idea survives a quick glance.

For a custom brief, mark which expression details must remain and which can change. A colour match alone will not preserve the personality of the reference you selected.
