A plain fruit character and a dressed fruit doll can sit in the same collection, but they should not compete for the same job. Decide whether the doll is the lead character or a companion before laying out the range.
Give each reference a purpose
Use the blueberry fruit to establish the theme and the green-button doll to introduce a more character-led direction. The leaf-collar doll provides another point on that spectrum. Put a short role beside each reference: theme anchor, lead character or optional alternative. These are planning labels, not product specifications.

Avoid an accidental duplicate
If two candidates would occupy the same position in the display and tell the same story, keep one as an alternative rather than ordering both by default. A small test layout can reveal that problem before quantities are discussed.

Record the selected pairing as two separate product references. Do not combine them into a photographed “set” unless the actual offer includes both pieces and its contents have been confirmed.
